Originally Cooper Pest Control

James Cooper founded Cooper Pest Control in 1993. Next, after operating the company for ten years it had grown to a quarter of a million dollar company.

The First Acquisition

In the winter of 2004, Len Land, Branch Manager of Arrow Exterminators left his previous employer and approached Mr. Cooper with an offer to purchase his company. But then soon after acquiring Cooper Pest Control, Len changed the name to Coppermines Pest Control and implemented policies that have caused the company to triple in less than 3 years. Coppermines Pest Control is a thriving, family-owned operation with 10 full-time employees and a record-breaking growth of 45%.

The Second Acquisition

In the Summer of 2007, Coppermines Pest Control acquired Amicalola Pest Control of Dawsonville, Ga. Phillip Goodson owner/operator of Amicalola Pest Control died after a sudden illness. Phil and Wanda Goodson, parents of the deceased sold their son’s company assets to Coppermines Pest Control.

The Third Acquisition

In the fall of 2009, Coppermines Pest Control acquired the southern half of Your Town Services from Brian Sharp

The Fourth Acquisition

Coppermines Pest Control is excited to announce its 4th acquisition. On October the 5th 2010, Coppermines Pest Control purchased North Georgia Wildlife Pest Control. The addition of this company will bring our company into the Wildlife arena and should generate the company an additional $50,000.00 in revenue.

The Fifth Acquisition

It’s now official. Coppermines Pest Control Inc. has closed on our 5th Acquisition on Friday, January 23, 2015. While our prayers are with the Udas family, we are honored that they have chosen our team to serve the customers of Control Science Inc. (CSI Pest Control). This has created a new service and sales territory in Winder, Buford, Cumming, and Alpharetta. A person has been hired for this position and we look forward to servicing the new area.

Copper Mines worked us in for a same day visit and David, the Service Tech, came at the end of a long day for him.  He took his time and identified potential areas of concern, applied necessary pesticides, and advised to let Copper Mines know if the problems continued.  We needed a return visit and again Copper Mines put us on the schedule with David.  He came at the promised time and conducted a thorough investigation and treatment.  We cannot say enough good things about David and Copper Mines.  We have been customers of theirs since the company was started and can honestly say that their level of customer service, and the employees who work for them, are always top-notch.
